Follow the fastener notice in service precautions when attaching the intermediate Steering Shaft to the Steering Column during installation. Simultaneously install the pinch bolt onto the power steering gear stub shaft until torque reaches 47 n.m (35 lb ft). Place the intermediate steering boot back in position and fasten the intermediate shaft as well as Steering Column into place.
