To remove the Cruise Control Module, first, remove the fuel injector site shield. Then pull the lock release and disconnect the cruise control cable at the engine bracket and
Throttle Body. Remove the cruise control cable from the module assembly connector and disconnect the module assembly connector from the cruise control cable and the connector from the module assembly , remove the electrical connector from the module assembly. Eliminate the retaining nuts, and the module, and the removal of the Cruise Control Module bracket bolts from the module bracket and the module. For mounting, mount the Cruise Control Module to the bracket and fasten it using the bracket bolts, accomplishing the fasteners to 7.5 n.m (66 lb in). Then align the Cruise Control Module over the studs on the cowl and tighten the 2 nuts, including the bracket retaining nuts with 9 n.m (80 lb in). The electrical connector is then connected to the module shall not twist the ribbon in the time of connecting the cable. The cruise control cable does not need any mechanical adjustment once it has been replaced because the Cruise Control Module automatically adjusts the cable itself. Lastly, install the cruise control cable to module assembly connector and connect the housing of cruise control cable to engine bracket and Throttle Body.
