To replace the Ignition Coil, you should remove the
Intake Manifold cover and unplug the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose from the Intake Manifold. Then, unpocket the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector and the Ignition Coil electrical connector. Next, remove the left and right
Spark Plug Wires off of the Ignition Coil. Break the upper left coil mount bracket bolt and lift the vehicle. Disconnect the wire retainers on the Ignition Coil bracket, and then remove the rest of the bolt and the two nuts on the coil bracket and lower the vehicle in order to remove the Ignition Coil bracket assembly. For installation process, begin by installing the Ignition Coil, raise the vehicle once more. Mount the upper right coil mount bolt, consult the fastener notice, and then mount coil mount nuts and tighten to 25 n.m (15 lb ft). Connect the wire retainers to the coil bracket and lower the vehicle, then install the upper left coil mount bolt and tighten it to 25 n.m(15 lb.ft). Connect the right and left side Spark Plug Wires to the Ignition Coil then the Ignition Coil electrical connection and making the map sensor electrical connection. Finally, reconnect the Brake Booster Vacuum Hose back to the Intake Manifold and also the Intake Manifold cover.
