Q: How to replace the radiator on Cadillac DeVille?
A: First, remove the cooling fans to replace the Radiator. Remove the outlet Radiator Hose from the Radiator using the hose clamp remover/installer (J 37097-A). Remove the two lower engine oil cooler lines from the Radiator, and the two lower transaxle oil cooler lines from the Radiator. And pull aside the condenser pack and remove the two attaching bolts on the lower Radiator and condenser, without damaging any of the lower attachment points. Raise the condenser slightly so that its lower feet come free from the mounting features at the front of the Radiator and lift the Radiator from the vehicle. For installation, install the Radiator insulators to the frame while aligning the Radiator alignment dowels with the insulators . Mount the condenser in a manner that the lower feet are in register with the mounting features on the front of the Radiator and mount using the special length only bolts to bolt the condenser to the Radiator end tanks to a torque of 13nm (115inch lbs.)) join the lower engine oil cooler line to the Radiator, while clamping to 18 nm (13 ft. Lbs) while making sure the transaxle oil cooler line points upwards. Lastly, hook the lower transaxle oil cooler line to the Radiator and tighten the connection using 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs.), using hose clamp remover / installer (j37097-A) to mount the outlet Radiator Hose to the Radiator and return the cooling fans.
