How to replace the front sway bar bushing on FE1 and FE3 on Cadillac DTS?

The first step to replace the sway bar bushing on FE1 and FE3 models starts with lifting and supporting the vehicle. The sway bar bracket bolt needs removal before prying open the sway bar bracket end to detach it. Use a pry bar to push the sway bar towards the back and take out the sway bar bushing. Use the pry bar to shift the sway bar toward the rear of the vehicle for installing the new sway bar bushing while orienting its slit toward the front of the sway bar bracket. After centering the sway bar perform the bracket mounting by applying downward pressure to the sway bar bushing and tightening its bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft). Torque all sway bar bracket bolts to 33 Nm (24 lb ft) then decrease the height of the vehicle.
