Starting the Radiator replacement requires draining coolant while also removing electric cooling fan assemblies. Raise and support the vehicle before removing the lower mounting bolt using 5.4 n.m of torque and upper mounting bolt also at 5.4 n.m of torque. Reposition the condenser to gain access to Transmission Oil Cooler mounting bolts requiring a torque of 5 n.m. After disconnecting the lower retainer pins of the side air baffle from the Radiator, lower the vehicle then remove the Radiator support bracket bolts together with the support brackets. To separate the Radiator/condenser upper support you should use the door trim pad clip remover (J 38778) while using hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to disconnect the surge tank inlet hose from the Radiator before relocating the hose aside. Before Radiator removal the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) should be used to release tension on Radiator inlet and outlet hose clamps followed by hose disconnection from the Radiator. Also use the hose clamp pliers to remove upper retainer pins from the side air baffle before removing the Radiator. Place the new Radiator before securing the upper retainer pins from the side air baffle into position on the Radiator. Use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to secure the outlet hose clamp and then proceed with connecting the inlet hose and surge tank inlet hose with an additional use of hose clamp pliers (J 38185). Fitting the Radiator/condenser upper support should be done with the support brackets installed and their bolts tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Raise the vehicle for a second time while fitting the lower retainer pins of the side air baffle to the Radiator and tighten all Transmission Oil Cooler mounting bolts to 5 n.m. Continue with condenser mounting bolt installation starting with the upper bolts at 5.4 n.m then the lower bolts at 5.4 n.m. Completed procedures include lowering the vehicle before reinstallation of the electric cooling fan assembly and completing the cooling system fluid.
