How to replace the canister purge valves on Cadillac XLR?

First, take off the fuel injector sight shield in order to change the EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE. Then, take off the engine vacuum pipe from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve that leads to the intake manifold EVAP pipe, then disconnect the engine purge pipe and harness connector from the EVAP canister purge valve. After unplugging all the connections, take out the EVAP canister purge valve. Start the installation by placing the new EVAP canister purge valve and then attaching the harness connector to it. Afterwards, join the engine purge pipe to the chassis purge pipe and the engine vacuum pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve. In the last step, install the fuel injector sight shield again.
