How to Replace Knock Sensor 2 on Cadillac XLR?

Start by eliminating the Intake Manifold before replacing Knock Sensor 2. Remove both the electrical connector which connects to the Knock Sensor (KS) and the central bolt securing the ks. Remove Knock Sensor 2 from its position inside the engine block. Clean both the ks mating surfaces and engine block together before placing the entire ks surface directly on the engine block. The installation requires a bolt torque of 20 n.m (15 lb ft) after tightening. Attach ks to the engine block alongside its bolt while making sure that ks wiring harness stays protected by the retaining clips. Connect the electrical connector to the ks then reinstall the Intake Manifold as the final step.
