Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Brake Proportioning Valve Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Brake Proportioning Valve on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500?
A: You need to locate the identification code of the old combination valve before purchasing its replacement. First disconnect all electrical parts from the combination valve then remove the front and rear brake pipes before taking out the valve assembly. For proper valve installation insert the new combination valve having the same punched id code as the original part. Reinsert the combination valve into its place before connecting the brake pipes. Tighten all brake pipe nuts to 25 nm pression (18 ft. Pounds). Connect the combination valve electrical part while pressing the metering rod after the brake system bleed process. Use proper steps to remove remaining air from the Brake Lines.
