To replace the crankshaft rear oil seal, you should first remove the Transmission Assembly and the engine
Flywheel. Next, with a suitable tool, remove the crankshaft rear oil seal with care from the crankshaft rear oil seal housing, discard the old oil seal and clean the surroundings of the location of any dirt or rust material. Attack a small quantity (2 to 3 drops) of clean engine oil around bore of the crankshaft rear oil seal housing, the outside diameter of the engine Flywheel pilot flange, the outside diameter of the Flywheel pilot flange, and the Crankshaft Seal surface. Examine the flange of the j 35621-b rear main seal installer (J 35621-B) for imperfections and remove minor ones with smooth grade emery cloth while ensuring that oil or lubricants do not get into the seal lip surface. Thereafter, take the sleeve from the crankshaft rear oil seal and lubricate it with a clean engine oil drop (2 to 3 drops) on its outer diameter. Put the crankshaft rear oil seal on the j 35621-b and put this on the rear of the crankshaft and tighten the tool bolt by hand until snug. Proper alignment is critical; keep the seal close to flush and square to the housing. Turn the j 35621-b wing nut until the seal is properly installed, experience stronger resistance when it comes to bottom of the housing bore. Unscrew the wing nut in the opposite direction, and take off the j 35621-b from the crankshaft. Remove any extra engine oil with the help of a clean rag before putting back the engine Flywheel, and the Transmission Assembly.
