Use the Fan Clutch wrench j 46406 to detach the Fan Clutch from the Water Pump by turning it counterclockwise until you can remove the whole Fan Clutch assembly from the vehicle. You should remove the Fan Blade from the Fan Clutch by taking off the mounting bolts which secure it. Start installing the Fan Clutch through blade fan attachment to the clutch unit while observing and implementing fastener notice in service precautions requirements. Mount the Fan Blade bolts at 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs.) torque values. To mount the Fan Clutch assembly to the Water Pump, use the Fan Clutch wrench (J 46406) according to manufacturer specifications and achieve 56 nm (40 ft. Lbs.) torque. Install the upper Fan Shroud last in the process.
