The process of replacing the Fuel Level Sensor starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable as per battery disconnect protocols. The Fuel Tank draining procedure (2-Door Utility) should be utilized to drain the Fuel Tank along with relieving fuel system pressure. The first step requires Fuel Tank removal along with separation of the fuel sender assembly before unplugging the fuel pump electrical connector. Connectors retaining the Fuel Level Sensor have to be removed before disconnecting its electrical connector that sits under the fuel sender cover.
