How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Blazer?

The process to replace the throttle position (TP) sensor starts by removing the Throttle Body followed by its screws from the tp sensor and then extracting the tp sensor from the Throttle Body assembly while avoiding liquid cleaners or solvents that may damage the sensor. First set the tp sensor over the throttle shaft beforealigning its mounting holes with holes on the Throttle Body assembly while installing the mounting screws. Prior to screw tightening apply gm p/n 1052624 or equivalent thread locking material to the bolts because they come with thread locking adhesive. The procedure ends with reinstallation of the Throttle Body followed by connecting the tp sensor harness.
