Chevrolet Colorado Fuel Pressure Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the fuel pressure sensor on Chevrolet Colorado?
A: Your first step to replace the Fuel Tank pressure sensor must include supporting and elevating the vehicle for wheelhouse liner access to the top of the Fuel Tank. Owners of crew cab vehicles need to position the Fuel Tank in a lower position before proceeding. The left rear pickup box wheelhouse liner needs to be eliminated as the next step. The technician should disconnect the chassis wiring harness electrical connector from the Fuel Tank pressure sensor before using upward force to remove the sensor from the module. Clean engine oil must be used to lightly lubricate the sensor seal before inserting it completely into the Fuel Tank module. Attach the pressure sensor side of the chassis wiring harness electrical connector before reinstalling the left pickup box wheelhouse liner. A crew cab vehicle requires installation of the Fuel Tank ahead of lowering it down.
