J 36850 transmission assembling lubricant (Transjel(R)) needs to be gathered with other necessary tools for automatic transmission fluid and filter servicing and repair work. Place your drain pan under the transmission before supporting and raising the vehicle. Use a wiping solution on the area surrounding the transmission check/fill plug to create draining space before plug removal. The first step involves preserving the transmission Oil Pan while taking out all the Oil Pan bolts then installing the fluid check/fill plug loosely. Start by tapping the Oil Pan gently with a rubber mallet before using the mallet or pry tool to make it loose. After removing the Oil Pan drain out the remaining fluid. The installation position of the filter needs to be noted before grasping it firmly and twisting for removal while using pliers to remove a stuck filter seal. Before examining the transmission fluids you should dispose of the old seal before checking for any signs of wear or damage to fluid components. Ensure that every surface of the gasket receives comprehensive cleaning during installation. The transmission case requires a new filter seal treated with j 36850 before gentle installation using a suitable socket. Use the noted position when you install the new Oil Filter while checking the orientation of the conical washers in the Oil Pan bolts and washers.
