How to service and repair the catalytic converter on Chevrolet Prizm?

To service and repair the Catalytic Converter, first, lift and hold the vehicle. Remove the heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (H02S2). Then you will pull out the one bolt and clamp that hold the front pipe to the three-way Catalytic Converter (TWC) and then proceed to pull out the two bolts that hold the twc to the muffler/tail pipe assembly. Remove the hangers from the rear of the twc and from the vehicle to remove the twc from the vehicle. Before reinstalling the three-way Catalytic Converter (TWC) to the vehicle, clean the gasket and mating surfaces of the seals. Clamp the twc from the front and fasten the first bolt, and connect the rear of the twc using two hangers. Screw in the two bolts to fasten the twc to the muffler/tailpipe assembly (finger tighten initially). Make sure all system components are correctly aligned to avoid noise or vibrations before tightening the fasteners. Tighten the front pipe-to-twc clamp bolt, 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.), twc to-muffler/tail pipe assembly bolts, 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, replace the heated Oxygen Sensor 2 (H02S2) and drive the vehicle down.
