Chevrolet Prizm Headlight Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the headlight switch on Chevrolet Prizm?
A: The first step to repair or service the headlamp switch demands disabling the sir system. The lower trim cover screws can be accessed by rotating the Steering Wheel because you do not need to remove the Steering Wheel to get there. The first step is to remove the lower trim cover screw followed by the two screws below the Steering Wheel under which the steering column lower trim cover can be taken off. First remove the screw securing the steering column upper trim cover followed by the removal of the upper trim cover. Damage to the base requires changing the turn signal and headlamp along with the windshield washer switch at once. Disengage the turn signal/headlamp switch electrical connector after which remove two screws and eliminate the turn signal/headlamp switch. The turn signal/headlamp switch attachment starts by mounting it onto the steering column before securing it through two screws. You should first attach the turn signal/headlamp switch electrical connector before putting on and tightening the steering column upper trim cover through its screw installation. Set the three screws into place and slide on the lower steering column trim cover and enable the sir system.
