  A: Starting a Steering Wheel module coil replacement requires disabling the sir system first. Checking that the vehicle maintains straight wheel positioning and a lock set Steering Column prevents sir coil assembly damage when users disconnect steering components from the steering gear. Put in place the Steering Column anti rotation pin (J 42640) and uninstall the Steering Wheel from the Steering Shaft. The first task requires removal of torx® head screws from the lower trim cover before removing the cover itself. Two upper trim cover torx® head screws need removal before you can remove both upper trim covers.
