  • Q: How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) on the right side on Chevrolet SSR?
    A: The procedure starts by removing both right front tire and wheel before proceeding to remove the inner wheel well. First remove the knock sensor (KS) retaining bolt before taking out both the KS and its connecting electrical wire. Install the Knock Sensor (KS) by connecting the electrical connector, placing the KS in position on the engine block, and securing the KS retaining bolt at 20 N.m (15 lb ft) torque following Service Precautions Fastener Notice. The right wheelhouse liner and right front tire with wheel assembly must be put back in place as the final step.
