Chevrolet Uplander Blower Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Auxiliary Blower Motor (without E59) on Chevrolet Uplander?
A: Replacing the Auxiliary Blower Motor (without E59) requires first removing the inflator air valve opening cover followed by the removal of screws from the hinged cover until the cover from the rear trim panel can be removed. Unclip the tabs before pulling out the trim panel and disconnect all electrical connectors between the auxiliary blower motor and its resistor as well as the auxiliary air temperature actuator. You must first take out the auxiliary blower motor from the blower motor housing by completely removing its mounting screws. The first step for installation requires placing the auxiliary blower motor inside the blower motor housing while following the marked Fastener Notice. You must install the auxiliary blower motor mounting screws according to the torque requirement of 1.6 N.m (14 lb in). Attach the electrical connectors of the auxiliary air temperature actuator followed by the auxiliary blower motor resistor before finishing with the auxiliary blower motor electrical connector. The trim panel requires installation by firmly pushing into the tabs before aligning the cover and securing its screws to achieve a tension of 2.5 N.m (22 lb in). Place the inflator air valve opening cover before completion.
