In order to service and fix the defroster actuator, start by the elimination of the IP carrier. Next is the removal of screws on the defroster actuator and the electrical connector that is attached to it. After you remove the screws, pull out the defroster actuator. First, for installation, place the new defroster actuator in its place while adhering to the Fastener Notice of the Service Precautions. Fasten the actuator using screws and tighten them to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). After doing this, reconnect the electrical connector to the defroster actuator and the lastly, reinstall the IP carrier.

To replace the air temperature actuator, you need to disconnect the connector from the will first take off the instrument panel carrier to disconnect the electrical connector.
