Temperature Door Actuator

Start the left air temperature actuator replacement process by removing the I/P insulator panel. First disconnect the electrical connector from the left air temperature actuator then remove the screws holding it in place. The HVAC module assembly requires the left air temperature actuator to be extracted. Secure the left air temperature actuator to the HVAC module assembly by reimplementing screws while torquing them to 2 N.m (18 lb in). Reestablish the electrical connector between the left air temperature actuator and replace the I/P insulator panel. The step ends with programming the left air temperature actuator.

To change the auxiliary air temperature actuator, to begin with, you need to remove the left rear quarter trim panel. Unplug the electrical connector for the air temperature actuator, and remove screws and take out the actuator. For installation, install the new air temperature actuator and install rifle screws and tighten up to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Reattach the right rear brake hose from the rear strut with the hand release, then recharge the right rear brake per the proper procedures using MB SST 000 424 90 50, apply 520 SAE30 oil into the reservoir until the oil supply is covered, then recheck the S-sensor oil level. View PIC and adjust the slack on the front brake hose S-sensor when the hand release is disconnected in the rear.

The left rear quarter trim panel should be the first step in the procedure for temperature actuator replacement of the auxiliary air door. First disconnect the electrical piece from the actuator then use a screwdriver to remove all retaining screws. Remove both actuators starting with the inner one followed by the outer one while working on the vehicle. The installation process requires positioning the outer actuator first before you install the inner actuator. Secure the actuator by reinstalling its retaining screws followed by plugging in the electrical connector. To complete the procedure install the left rear quarter trim panel.

For service to the defroster actuator assembled to the bottom left side of the hvac module starts by extracting the left side instrument panel sound insulator and the below ip instrument panel sound insulator. Then take up vacuum connector from the defroster actuator then take down the actuator rod retaining clip and actuator rod from the defroster door lever . Pinch off the electrical connector from the hvac member and pull firmly to remove the defroster actuator from the hvac module. For installation put the defroster actuator in a position that its retaining tab locks, attach the actuator rod which is then connected to the door lever of the defroster then secure it using the actuator rod retaining clip. Reconnection of the vacuum connector back to the defroster actuator; reassembly of the lower ip instrument panel sound insulator and left side instrument panel sound insulator.

The first step to service an air temperature actuator entails finding it on the top right side of the hvac module. The initial service requires removing of the instrument panel carrier followed by electrical connector disconnection. Start by unscrewing the retaining screws for the air temperature actuator before you remove it from the hvac module. Attach the air temperature actuator to its position on the hvac module where it should rest on the locating tab. Tighten retaining screws to 1.9 n.m (17 lb ft). Install the instrument panel carrier while reconnecting the electrical connector. The hvac module actuator requires a calibration step as the final procedure.

Starting an air temperature actuator replacement requires removing the passenger knee bolster. Moving on, disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector before removing its retaining screws that fix it to the hvac module. Next step involves removing the air temperature actuator from the hvac module. Insert the new air temperature actuator into the hvac module before following the fastener notice in service precautions. Install the retaining screws on the actuator while tightening them to 1.9 n.m (17 lb in). The electrical connector for the air temperature actuator requires connection before reinstalling the passenger side knee bolster.

To replace the actuator of the temperature valve, start by removing the air temperature actuator electrical connector. Then, remove the retaining screws for air temperature actuator and once again extract the actuator out from the heater assembly. For installation, reinstall component air temperature actuator back on to the heater assembly and be sure to follow fastener caution to prevent damages to vehicles. Lock down the actuator securing it with the help of retaining screws and tighten to 1.9 nm (17 lb in), then reconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector.

First, it is necessary to remove the right rear quarter trim panel to replace the air temperature actuator in the auxiliary system. Then reach out and detach the electrical connector that is attached to the air temperature actuator and take out the retaining screws holding the latter. Remove the air temperature actuator from rear HVAC module. For installation, position the new air temperature actuator onto the rear HVAC module and attach to it securing it with the retaining screws. Reconnect the electrical connector to the actuator of the air temperature and reinstall the right rear quarter trim panel. At last, calibrate HVAC module actuators.

To replace the air temperature actuator, you need to disconnect the connector from the will first take off the instrument panel carrier to disconnect the electrical connector. Next, remove the retaining screws for the air temperature actuator and remove the actuator from the hvac module. For installation, place the new air temperature actuator onto the hvac module and make sure it is seated on the locating tab, and then screw it with the retaining screws by screwing it to 1.9 n.m (17 lb ft ). Finally, reconnect the electrical connector and replace instrument panel carrier.

Position the actuator onto the auxiliary HVAC module and secure it with the retaining screws, tightening them to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

Secure the actuator with the retaining screws, tightening them to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

Secure it with the retaining screws tightened to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

Begin by removing the I/P upper trim pad.

Attach the defrost actuator to the heater assembly.

Remove the heater assembly.

Reconnect the electrical connector.

Position the defrost actuator onto the heater assembly.

Position the new air temperature actuator and install the retaining screws, tightening them to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).

Reconnect the electrical connector to the air temperature actuator.

Position the new air temperature actuator and secure it with retaining screws tightened to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).

Attach the defrost actuator to the heater assembly.

Disconnect the vacuum hose from the defrost actuator.

Reinstall the instrument panel hush panel.

Remove the retaining screws for the air inlet actuator and take out the actuator itself.

Attach the defrost actuator to the heater module.

Take off the evaporator and blower module assembly front cover from the evaporator case, grasp the recirculation door seal, and open it.

Install the new air temperature actuator and secure it with the retaining screws, tightening them to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in) as per Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Position the temperature actuator back onto the rear HVAC module and secure it with the retaining screws.

Install the new auxiliary mode actuator, ensuring to follow fastener caution to avoid vehicle damage.

Remove the retaining screws and take out the actuator.

Secure the mode actuator with screws, tightening them to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

Take out the retaining screws from the auxiliary mode actuator and then remove the actuator itself.

Disconnect the electrical connector of the air temperature actuator.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the air temperature actuator and remove the retaining screws securing it.

Reconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector and reinstall the passenger side knee bolster.

Reconnect the electrical connector to the actuator and finally reinstall the left rear quarter trim panel.

Reinstall the I/P upper trim pad.

Begin by removing the left rear quarter trim panel.

Firmly pull the defroster actuator to detach it from the HVAC module.

Reinstall the I/P upper trim pad.

Take out the retaining screws from the auxiliary mode actuator and then remove the actuator itself.

Reconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector.

Remove the defrost actuator from the heater module.

Reconnect the electrical connector to the auxiliary air temperature actuator and reinstall the right rear quarter trim panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the actuator.
