How to replace the front crankshaft seal on GMC Sonoma?

The removal process of crankshaft front oil seal begins with taking out the crankshaft balancer. Use an appropriate tool to detach the crankshaft front oil seal then inspect the seal bore on the engine front cover and the crankshaft balancer seal area for damage. Clean engine oil should be used to lubricate the new seal exterior before its installation. You should use the hammer-operated Cover Aligner/Seal Installer (J 35468) to set the new crankshaft front oil seal directly against the engine front cover while maintaining its squareness to the face of the cover. Finally, reinstall the crankshaft balancer.
