How to replace the Neutral Safety Switch on a 4L60-E automatic transmission on GMC Yukon XL 1500?

When installing a new park/neutral position switch on a 4l60-e automatic transmission start by setting the parking brake then placing the transmission into neutral gear. After raising the vehicle use a socket to remove the transmission control lever manual shaft nut allowing transmission control lever removal. Begin removal by disconnecting all electrical connectors from the switch before removing the two transmission mounting bolts so you can remove the park/neutral position switch from the manual shaft. Begin filing down the outer manual shaft edge to remove burrs when the switch refuses to slide off.
