    Q:
How to replace the clutch release bearing on Chevrolet Silverado 2500? Posted by Customer
    A:
To replace the clutch Release Bearing, first remove the manual transmission and then remove the clutch release by rotating it in either direction thus releasing the compression spring preload pushing the Release Bearing o the end of the clutch activator bearing. Next, with a clean dry cloth clean the exposed area of the actuator cylinder quill, avoiding the use of cleaners, chemicals or grease on the quill. Replace the new clutch release there-by to clutch actuator cylinder by applying firm pressure to push the clutch release to the snap over the retainer tab, where it self retains to the actuator cylinder. Finally, reinstall the manual transmission.
