Outlet Duct

To replace the air cleaner outlet duct, you will have to remove the intake manifold cover. Remove the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor engine harness electrical connector from the pcv tube quick connect fitting on the air cleaner outlet duct. Loose the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the Throttle Body and remove the duct from the Throttle Body and then loose it from the maf/iat sensor and removing it from the vehicle. In installing, align the air cleaner outlet duct to the vehicle and the maf/iat sensor, then tighten the clamp at the maf/iat sensor to 4.n.m (35 lb in). Next, connect the duct to the Throttle Body and tighten the corresponding clamp to the same torque specification. Join pcv tube quick connect fitting to the air cleaner outlet duct and the maf iat sensor engine harness electrical connector. Finally, install the intake manifold cover back onto its position.

Start by removing the intake manifold cover before disconnecting three components: engine harness electrical connector from maf/iat sensor, electrical connector from maf/iat sensor to the air cleaner outlet duct, and pcv tube quick connect fitting from the outlet duct. Begin by removing the air cleaner outlet duct from the Throttle Body while simultaneously loosening its clamp at the Throttle Body. Then unscrew the duct from the maf/iat sensor before complete removal. Installation requires the air cleaner outlet duct assembly between the vehicle and the maf/iat sensor while tightening the maf/iat clamp to 4 n.m (35 lb in) of torque. You should install the duct to the Throttle Body before tightening its clamp at an identical torque setting. The pcv tube quick connect fitting should get reattached to the air cleaner outlet duct and the engine harness should reconnect its electrical connector to the maf/iat sensor before finishing with intake manifold cover replacement.

To install the air cleaner outlet duct, just unplug the engine harness electrical connector of the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and separate the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube quick connect to reattach the outlet duct to the air cleaner. Relax the air cleaner outlet duct wrist clamp from Throttle Body and remove the duct from the Throttle Body, relatively relax it from maf/iat sensor and remove it from sensor and the car. For the installation, connect the air cleaner outlet duct with the vehicle and the maf/iat sensor then make sure that the clamp at the maf/iat sensor is tightened to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Then, install the duct to the Throttle Body and fasten the corresponding clamp with 4 n.m (35 lb in) of torque. Lastly, connect the pcv fresh air tube quick connect fitting to the air cleaner outlet duct and reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the maf/iat sensor.

To remove or replace the air cleaner outer duct, remove the engine harness electrical connector from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube quick connect with the air cleaner outer duct. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the Throttle Body and disconnect the duct from the Throttle Body, then loosen from the maf/iat sensor and remove the duct from both the maf/iat sensor and from the vehicle. During installation, align the air cleaner outlet duct to the vehicle and align the maf/iat sensor and tighten the clamp at the maf/iat sensor at 4 n.m (35 lb in). Next, install the duct to the Throttle Body and clamp the duct at the Throttle Body to the same torque specification. Lastly connect the pcv fresh air tube quick connect fitting at the air cleaner outlet duct and reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the maf/iat sensor.

Reconnect the PCV tube quick connect fitting to the air cleaner outlet duct and the engine harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.

Connect the PCV fresh air tube quick connect fitting to the air cleaner outlet duct and reconnect the engine harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
