    Q:
How to replace the ABS Control Module on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process for an ABS Control Module requires you to set the ignition key to OFF to avoid equipment harm. You must first eliminate the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) from the connector lock tab. After that you should press the lock tab and slide the connector cover to disconnect the ABS Control Module harness. The assembly pre-cleaning process should be followed before all four ABS Control Module to BPMV screws are removed while avoiding both tool usage and surface or solenoid valve damage to the BPMV unit when separating components. Clean the ABS Control Module gasket alongside the BPMV surface by using a rag which has alcohol on it. The ABS Control Module installation onto the BPMV must follow by securing it with four screws that need tightening to 5 Nm (44 inch lbs.). Reconnect the ABS Control Module harness while pushing down the lock tab on the harness connector and use the connector cover to close it in the locked position. Then complete the A Diagnostic System Check - ABS while putting the CPA in its proper position.
