The first step for replacing the front door latch involves both raising the window to its closed position while you remove the door trim panel together with the water deflector. The first step includes disconnecting the inside door lock rod and inside door handle rod from the latch assembly and subsequently disconnecting the outside door lock rod and outside door handle rod . The presence of power actuator wiring requires its disconnect followed by latch assembly door mounting fastener removal before the latch assembly can be removed. The lock actuator must be taken away from the latch component. First install the lock actuator onto the latch before placing the latch assembly into the door opening. Fasten the latch assembly while tightening its fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The power actuator wiring connector should be reconnected if applicable while installing the outside door handle rod and inside and outside lock rods and inside door handle rod to the latch assembly. The last step includes putting back the water deflector along with the door trim panel.

The power Door Lock Actuator replacement starts with removing the door trim panel and moving to the water deflector and then to the Door Latch Assembly. You need to remove two screws which keep the lock actuator fastened to the latch. After lifting and rotating the actuator away from the latch you can disconnect the rubber Bumper from the latch before removing the actuator from the latch. Start by putting the rubber Bumper on the latch followed by actuator rotation toward the latch to confirm complete rubber Bumper engagement. The successful installation requires first tooth alignment between the actuator gear and the latch gear. Firmly attach the actuator above the latch using two screws that should be tightened to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in) as per the provided fastener notice. The installation process requires users to return the latch to the door and then replace the water deflector followed by the door trim panel.

Starting with a closed window position you can replace the rear door latch by removing the door trim panel together with the water deflector. The inside door lock rod together with inside door handle rod and outside door handle rod need removal from the latch assembly. When power actuation is used disconnect the wiring connector from this system. Take out the latch assembly by removing all its fasteners that connect it to the door. Take the lock actuator out from its installation on the latch. Start the installation by setting up the lock actuator on the latch unit before putting the latch assembly within the door. Fasten the latch assembly using the provided fasteners until tensions reach 9 n.m (80 lb in). After renewing the power actuator wiring connector when present, install the outside door handle rod and the inside door handle rod and the inside door lock rod to the latch assembly. The last step involves the replacement of the water deflector and door trim panel.

Ensure that the first tooth of the gear on the actuator aligns and interlocks properly with the first tooth of the gear on the latch.

Carefully lift and rotate the actuator to disengage the rubber bumper from the latch, then remove the actuator.

Install the 2 screws to secure the actuator to the latch, tightening them to 0.75 N.m (6 lb in).
