    Q:
How to replace the Fuel Level Sensor assembly on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to replace the Fuel Level Sensor assembly involves tank removal and cleaning both zones near the device and the fuel storage area from all debris and dirt. The Fuel Tank sending unit wrench (J 44402) helps to extract the retaining ring from the Fuel Level Sensor assembly after disconnecting its fuel lines. Before extracting the Fuel Level Sensor assembly and seal always drain its fuel contents into an approved container to minimize risks and personal harm while never maintaining fuel in exposed containers. Place the removed seal from the Fuel Tank into waste disposal. Start by placing the new Fuel Tank seal onto the tank followed by installation of the Fuel Level Sensor assembly. Lock in the assembly through the retaining ring operation by using the Fuel Tank sending unit wrench (J 44402). Finally replace the fuel lines on the Fuel Level Sensor before repositioning the Fuel Tank.
