    Q:
How to service and repair the ignition coil for Bank 1 on Cadillac Eldorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
Initiate bank 1 Ignition Coil service by eliminating the fuel injector sight shield and disconnecting the Ignition Control Module and secondary air injection (AIR) vent solenoid electrical connectors. Start by taking out the air shutoff valve then continue with removal according to sequence until all ignition cassette retaining bolts are taken out. After that remove the ignition cassette with care. Make sure you properly position both the ignition cassette grounding spring and insulator during fixture. Attach Spark Plug boots to each Spark Plug before reinstalling the ignition cassette correctly. Install the ignition cassette retaining bolts according to the installation torque sequence while tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). The completion of the repair requires reinstalling the air shutoff valve and reconnecting both the ignition cassette electrical connector along with the air vent solenoid electrical connector before installing the fuel injector sight shield.
