The initial step for servicing fuel injectors along with the Fuel Rail requires completion of fuel pressure relief procedure to lower system pressure. The upper Intake Manifold must be removed first followed by fuel pipe retaining clip removal then disconnecting the fuel feed pipe from its connection to the Fuel Injector rail. Workers should utilize compressed air for cleaning debris near the points where fuel injectors meet the Intake Manifold after putting on protective safety glasses. You should remove the Fuel Rail bolts before taking out the Fuel Rail with fuel injectors by supporting it to protect injector electrical terminals and spray tips from damage. Fit caps to the fittings and use plugs to block open holes from outside contaminants. Remove the Fuel Injector electrical connector lock before unplugging the electrical connection. Standards require removal of the Fuel Injector retainer clip followed by Fuel Injector removal while eliminating the old Fuel Injector seals. To assemble the Fuel Injector requires replacing all seals and then attaching the injector before fixing it with a retainer clip. Engage the lock when connecting the Fuel Injector electrical connector and repeat the process. Secure the Fuel Rail along with fuel injectors by torquing Fuel Rail bolts up to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The fuel feed pipe connects to the Fuel Rail after inserting the fuel pipe retaining clip while the upper Intake Manifold returns to its place.

One must start by decompressing the fuel system pressure before detaching the upper Intake Manifold in order to swap out the fuel injector as well as the fuel rail. First you should detach the fuel pipe retaining clip while also disconnecting the fuel feed pipe from the fuel injector rail. Clear debris through the Intake Manifold fuel injector opening by using compressed air while you detach the fuel rail through bolt removal. The operator should carefully remove the fuel rail assembly while maintaining the electrical connector terminals and spray tips and then support the fuel rail against damage to its components. Temporary caps must seal the fittings together with stoppers to block dirt and contaminants from entrance. The procedure begins by removing the fuel rail with injectors while you disengage the electric connector lock of the fuel injectors and disconnect the electrical connector. Use a screwdriver to eliminate the fuel injector retainer clip before removing the fuel injector while disposing of the fuel injector seals. Install new fuel injector seals before placing the fuel injector into position and fasten it with the retainer clip. After attaching the fuel injector electrical connector, use the lock to protect it. Mount the fuel rail with installed fuel injectors by running torque on the fuel rail bolts to reach 10 n.m (89 lb in). Connect the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail before adding the fuel pipe retaining clip then reposition the upper Intake Manifold in its place.

First, remove the fuel rail, taking care to avoid damaging the fuel injector electrical connector pins or nozzles, and do not immerse the fuel injector in any cleaner as it is an electrical component.

Pull up firmly on the right rear and left front of the engine cover.

Tighten the fuel injector sight shield bracket nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
