    Q:
How to replace the rear Seat Cushion Pad on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step to install the rear seat cushion in TrailBlazer, Envoy or Rainier involves removing two parts. Start with the removal of the rear seat bracket trim cover along with the hydraulic jack from the left-side jack stowage area. Above the 2 rear seat mounting nuts, position the seat cushion assembly so you can remove these nuts before taking out the seat cushion assembly from the vehicle. Pull the seat cushion assembly into the vehicle before attaching the 2 nuts to the floor panel while tightening them to 45 N.m (33 lb ft). Begin by putting the hydraulic jack back into the jack storage area of the left side while also applying the seat cushion to its latched position before placing on the rear mount trim cover.

    Q:
How to Replace the Rear No. 1 Seat Cushion Pad and Cover on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The repair of rear seat cushion cover and pad for Trailblazer EXT and Envoy XL and Envoy XUV requires the J 36796 (Clip Removal Tool). Use J-strips to remove the seat cover from its fixture on the seat pan and carefully press the foam before slowly extracting the cover from the pan without pulling the adhesive strip off the pad. Start by disconnecting retaining strips which enables the cover removal from the cushion. The next step includes removing the cushion and cover assembly from the seat pan and opening the reinforcement bar from hog-rings. When installing the new cover begin by attaching it to the cushion followed by fastening the reinforcement bar to the hog-rings before added the retaining strips to secure the cover position. The installment process ends with the seat pan placement onto the cushion and cover assembly followed by foam compression then the seat cover and cushion reattachment to the seat pan before connecting the J-strips that maintain the cover positioning on the seat pan.

    Q:
How to Replace a Rear Seat Cushion Pad and Cover on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
First remove the vehicle seat cushion before removing the seat cushion bracket to change the rear seat cushion pad and cover. Before proceeding move on to remove the seat latch bezels while using the Clip Removal Tool (J 36796) to disconnect push pins beneath the seat bottom and begin the seat cushion extraction. You must expose the J-strips on the carpeted section to unfasten the seat cover from its seat pan position. The foam can be compressed beginning from any forward corner to partially disengage the seat cover assembly from the seat pan but you should avoid pulling adhesive-backed strip from the seat pad when separating seat cover retaining strips. You should separate the retaining strips to remove the cover followed by extracting the cushion and cover assembly off the seat pan. Once the reinforcement bar has been released from its hog-ring position you can detach the cover from both the cushion and the bar itself. Security begins by connecting the cover to the cushion before refitting the reinforcement bar to its place on the hog-rings and lastly applying the retaining strips which secure the cover to the cushion. Install the seat cushion to the seat pan by setting the seat pan over the cushion and cover assembly while slightly compressing the foam until you attach and position the seat cover and cushion on the seat pan. Plug in the J-strips which attach the cover to the seat pan and reinstall the push pins located underneath the seat bottom before installing the latch bezels. Reattach the seat cushion bracket before returning the upholstery to its appropriate position in the vehicle.
