    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
In order to replace the vacuum Brake Booster, first engage the parking brake and take out the master cylinder. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum booster and the engine, then add the left closeout/insulator panel. Then remove the Pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin as well as the stop lamp switch , finally taking out the Pushrod from the brake pedal pin. Unscrew the vacuum booster mounting nuts, remove the vacuum booster assembly with the gasket. For installation, first, install the gasket, also install the vacuum booster assembly (Follow Fastener Notice in Service Precautions). Attach the vacuum booster mounting nuts and tighten to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Move the stop lamp switch onto the Pushrod and attach it to the pin of a brake pedal. Screw on the push rod retainer to the brake pin pedal and until it snaps into position and install the left closeout/insulator panel again. Finally connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum booster and to the engine, and reinstall the master cylinder.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first thing to do to replace the vacuum Brake Booster is to apply the parking brake and get rid of the master cylinder. Remove the vacuum hose from both the vacuum booster and the engine, and afterwards, take off the trim hinge pillar panel. After that, detach the Pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin , remove the stop lamp switch , and take off the Pushrod as well. Take out the nuts securing the vacuum booster, along with the whole vacuum booster assembly and its gasket. When putting it back together, put the gasket and vacuum booster in place and fasten the mounting nuts, ensuring you torque them to 40 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Position the stop lamp switch on the Pushrod and put it onto the brake pedal pin, then attach the Pushrod retainer onto the brake pedal pin . Put back the trim hinge pillar panel, hook up the vacuum hose to the vacuum booster and the engine, and put the master cylinder in place.

    Q:
How to replace the vacuum brake booster on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before working on the vacuum Brake Booster you need to take apart the master cylinder assembly plus the knee bolster trim panel. Disconnect the retaining clip around the Pushrod then remove both the clevis pin and Pushrod section from the Brake Pedal. Turn off the mounting nuts for the Brake Booster and take the unit out of the vehicle. Secure the Brake Booster by placing it at the bulkhead position then thread on its mounting nuts and tighten them to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). Place the Pushrod back onto the Brake Pedal while sliding in the clevis pin and sealing it with the retaining clip. Put back the knee bolster trim and master cylinder assembly after installing everything else.
