    Q:
How to replace the coolant pipe from the heater core to the water pump on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by draining your cooling system before commencing surge tank hose replacement between Heater Core and Water Pump. First detach the air intake tube and heater and surge tank hoses from their mounting clip. Use the quick connect connector removal tool (J 43181) to disconnect the heater and surge tank hoses from the Heater Core inlet and outlet by placing the tool's jaws around the Heater Core pipes and pulling it in through the quick connect end of both heater hoses. After securing the hose use a steady pulling motion to detach it from the Heater Core. Separate the surge tank hose by removing it from both the Water Pump and the surge tank. When installing the system begin with Water Pump surge tank hose attachment followed by surge tank installation. You should connect the Heater Core to its respective hoses by pushing the quick connectors along the Heater Core pipes until they make a sound. Finish your work by installing the heater and surge tank hoses to the mounting clip after you reinstall the air intake tube and fill your cooling system and check for leaks throughout.
