    Q:
How to Replace the Rear Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub with Disc Brakes on Buick Century? Posted by Customer
    A:
The vehicle needs proper support during maintenance because replacing the rear wheel bearing/hub starts here. Due to the design of the rear wheel hub the wheel bearing needs to replace with the entire hub assembly when it fails. Start by detaching the tires then wheels and progress to removing the brake rotor. Turn off the power to wheel sensor electrical connector when possible and detach the park brake cable from the actuator. First remove the bolts from the rear bearing and hub to take out the wheel bearing/hub and park brake assembly from the knuckle. After that disconnect the park brake actuator from the rear wheel bearing hub. Fasten the park brake actuator on the rear wheel bearing and follow by placing the wheel bearing and park brake assembly onto the knuckle while securing the bolts at 75 n.m (55 lb ft). Reattach the park brake cable to the actuator followed by installation of the abs wiring to the Wheel Speed Sensor when present. Place the brake rotor and rotate the wheels onto their positions before lifting the vehicle down.
