You should apply the Weather Strip onto the door opening pinch-weld flange before reinstalling the front door stepwell mat and the front door lower pillar garnish molding and front door upper pillar garnish molding along with the windshield garnish molding and the hinge pillar trim panel and ending with the front door opening upper frame garnish molding.

Use GM Weatherstrip Adhesive (GM P/N 12345097, Canadian P/N 10953479 or equivalent) to secure the top of the weatherstrip to the door.

Apply a mild soap and water solution to the new weatherstrip, then start at the bottom of the channel and slide it up to the top of the door.

Press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the sliding side door.

Remove the left rear door weatherstrip from the left rear door.

Position the weatherstrip onto the pillar and press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door pillar.

Pull the sliding side door window weatherstrip from the window opening pinch-weld flange and remove it from the vehicle.

Clean the door thoroughly to remove any old adhesive.

Tuck the bottom inner edge of the weatherstrip into the top door flange to complete the installation.

First, remove the retainer at the top of the weatherstrip.

Take out the hinged body side window, handling both stationary and swing-out versions as needed.

Apply weatherstrip adhesive into the channel on the new side door opening weatherstrip using GM P/N 12345097, Canadian P/N 10953479, or an equivalent.
