After removing the retainers at the lower corners of the side door opening Weather Strip you should pull the Weather Strip out from the door opening pinch-weld flange to completely extract it from the vehicle. The installation requires applying gm p/n 12345097 or canadian p/n 10953479 or equivalent adhesive Weather Strip adhesive into the channel on the new side door opening Weather Strip. Proceed by aligning the parts correctly with the body before placing the Weather Strip in position then sliding the retainers into the door opening holes. Finish the installation by reconnecting the hinge pillar upper garnish, hinge pillar lower garnish molding, side door opening frame garnish molding, passenger side front corner garnish molding, passenger side body side trim panel and the side door stepwell mat.

Apply a mild soap and water solution to the weatherstrip, starting at the bottom of the channel in the door and sliding it up to the top.

If reinstalling the original, apply the adhesive at the bottom ends to secure it.

Use a rubber mallet to ensure full engagement of the seal to the flange, ensuring it is not kinked at the corners of the door openings.

Apply GM P/N 12345097 (Canadian P/N 10953479) or an equivalent adhesive into the channel on the new weatherstrip.

Next, detach the retainers at the lower corners of the weatherstrip and pull the weatherstrip from the door opening pinch-weld flange before removing it from the vehicle.

Installation should begin at the corners, aligning the weatherstrip with the door opening pinch-weld flange.

Install the butt joint seam at the center of the bottom pinch-weld flange and use a rubber mallet to ensure full engagement of the cargo door seal to the pinch-weld flange, ensuring that the seal is not kinked at the corners of the door openings.

Install the weatherstrip by starting at the corners to align it with the door opening pinch-weld flange, ensuring it does not pull away at the corners while pressing it onto the flange.

Tilt the top of the sealing strip away from the vehicle in an outboard direction and gently pull it away from the pinch weld flange.

Press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the sliding side door.

First, remove the weatherstrip from the door and take out the retainers from the holes in the door.

Pull up on the rear hood seal to remove it from the cowl pinch weld flange.

Apply GM P/N 12345097 (Weatherstrip Adhesive) into the channel on the new weatherstrip.

Position the weatherstrip onto the pillar and press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door pillar.

Take out the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the door pillar.

Next, take out the hinged body side window.

Remove the left rear door weatherstrip retainers from the left rear door.

First, pull up on the rear hood seal and remove it from the cowl pinch-weld flange.

Close the cargo door.

Guide the seal through the opening between the body and the hinges, then install it starting at the top center of the liftgate opening, positioning it against the pinch-weld flange and working down both sides towards the bottom center.

Use GM Weatherstrip Adhesive (GM P/N 12345097, Canadian P/N 10953479 or equivalent) to secure the top of the weatherstrip to the door.

Take out the retainers from the holes in the door.

Gently pull the door opening weatherstrip from the door opening pinch-weld flange and remove it from the vehicle.

Start at the corners, aligning the weatherstrip with the door opening pinch-weld flange, ensuring the corners remain in place.

Secure the weatherstrip at the top using GM Weather-strip Adhesive GM P/N 12345097 or Canadian P/N 10953479 if reusing the weatherstrip.

Insert the pocket over the door flange and push down the pins until fully seated, ensuring there are no gaps between the door and the weatherstrip.

Reinstall the hinged body side window and finally, the sliding side door upper trim panel.

Start the installation at the bottom of the channel in the door and slide it up to the top.

Pull the weatherstrip to remove it from the channel on the side of the door, then take out the weatherstrip and retainers from the bottom.

Secure it at the top using GM Weatherstrip Adhesive (GM P/N 12345097, Canadian P/N 10953479).

Pull the rear door opening weatherstrip from the door opening pinch-weld flange, using 3M Release Agent or an equivalent if necessary.

First, remove the hinge pillar upper garnish, hinge pillar lower garnish molding, passenger side front corner garnish molding, passenger side body side trim panel, and the side door stepwell mat.

Reinstall the hinged body side window and finally, put back the sliding side door upper trim panel.

Press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the sliding side door.

Remove the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the door.

Press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door.

Take out the hinged body side window, handling both stationary and swing-out versions as needed.

Use a rubber mallet to ensure full engagement of the seal to the flange, ensuring it is not kinked at the corners of the door openings.

Position the weatherstrip onto the door and press the retainers in the weatherstrip into the holes in the door.

Remove the hinge pillar trim panel.

Remove the weatherstrip from the sliding side door and take out the weatherstrip retainers from the holes in the sliding side door.

Reinstall the front door stepwell mat, followed by the lower and upper pillar garnish moldings, and finally the hinge pillar trim panel.
