While performing the installation, if the sensor provider for reinstallation, please make sure that threads are covered with anti-seize compound GM P/N 5613695. Thread in the HO2S by using the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) and tighten it to a torque of 42 N.m (31 lb ft). Finally, link HO2S harness connector and lower the vehicle.

Insert anti-seize compound P/N 5613695 onto the HO2S threads before reinstallation because the special compound mixture contains graphite and glass beads which helps future sensor removal. Use an anti-seize compound P/N 5613695 on the HO2S threads and tighten it to 41 N.m (30 lb ft). After reattaching the HO2S electrical connector you should lower the vehicle.

Remove the HO2S connector and pull out the HO2S using the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) and disconnect its connector. Before installation, also if necessary, coat the threads of the new oxygen sensor with the anti-seize compound GM PIN 5613695, because unique anti-seize compound (liquid graphite and glass beads) are used in the cementation of the HO2S for the purpose of ease of future removal. Add the HO2S using an Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) and tighten it to 42 N.m (31 lb."). Lastly, connect the HO2S harness connector and lower the vehicle.

Install the HO2S using the Oxygen Sensor Wrench (J 39194-B) and tighten it to a torque of 42 N.m (31lb. Ft.). Finally, join the HO2S harness connector and lower the vehicle.
