You should first raise the vehicle and then remove the wheel when replacing the Automatic Level Control Sensor. You must disconnect the height sensor connector as well as the sensor link from the ball stud before you loosen the sensor mounting nut. You can pull out the sensor by first freeing the anti-rotation tab and pulling the sensor down from its position on the vehicle. When installing the Automatic Level Control Sensor users should insert the mounting stud head into the key hole space then push the sensor upwards until the lower hole accepts the anti-rotation tab. Secure the sensor mounting nut to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) before attaching the sensor link on the ball stud as well as the height sensor connector. Lower the vehicle before installing the wheel and wheel case according to the installation process.

You must first raise the vehicle and take off the wheel when you decide to replace the Automatic Level Control Sensor. First disconnect the sensor connector from the height sensor while also detaching the sensor link from the ball stud and then loosen the mounting nut. Lower the Automatic Level Control Sensor by detaching the anti-rotation tab before pulling it down from the vehicle. First install the sensor by placing its mounting stud head into the key hole before pushing the sensor upward until the lower hole receives the anti-rotation tab. Follow the procedure by applying 9 Nm of torque (80 inch lbs) to the sensor mounting nut before attaching both the sensor link to the ball stud and height sensor connector. Place the wheel onto the vehicle before lowering it to completion.

First, raise the vehicle and remove the wheel.

Disconnect the height sensor connector and the sensor link from the ball stud.

Disengage the anti-rotation tab and slide the sensor downward to remove it.

Tighten the sensor mounting nut to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).

Disengage the anti-rotation tab and slide the sensor downward.

Remove the four nuts and the bracket from the height sensor.

Insert the head of the sensor mounting stud into the key hole.

Reconnect the sensor link to the ball stud, then connect the sensor harness connector to the vehicle harness connector and attach the sensor harness clips at two locations.

Slide the sensor upward until the anti-rotation tab engages in the lower hole.

Disconnect the sensor link from the control arm ball stud and remove the nut that secures the position sensor to the vehicle.
