    Q:
How to replace the Brake Light Switch with adjustable pedals on Chevrolet Silverado 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The driver must set the park brake and extract the knee bolster before addressing the brake light switch and adjustable pedals. After cutting off the brake light electrical connector you need to remove the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer bolt and its retaining plate. Push the brake pedal pin to release the power vacuum brake booster pushrod and take out the brake light switch. Position the brake light switch onto the power vacuum brake booster pushrod before setting it on top of the brake pedal pin. Place the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer back on and turn it 360 degrees to let the brake pedal pin guide it properly into its slot. Attach and fasten the power vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer bolt hand-tight only and tighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb in). Plug the brake light switch electrical connector and put back the driver knee bolster.
