    Q:
How to service and repair the evaporative emissions hose connected to the canister and fuel tank on Chevrolet Avalanche 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for servicing and repairing the evaporative emissions hose which links the canister and Fuel Tank is to thoroughly clean all fuel and evaporative emission connections and their respective areas using clean procedures to stop contaminants from entering the system. The first step is to remove the Fuel Tank while you detach and eliminate the evap pipe from the roll over valve and sending unit and retaining clips. Prevent contamination by capping both the sending unit along with the Fuel Tank roll over valve. The evap pipe must be installed by removing the sending unit and Fuel Tank roll over valve caps followed by connecting the pipe to the roll over valve and sending unit with retaining clips before putting the Fuel Tank back.
