Put the seat in its most forward position and take out the center pillar trim panel. Take off the connector position assurance from the sis harness connector and gently pull the sis harness connector away from the sis . Take the sis mounting fasteners off and take the sis out of the center pillar. For installation, grip the sis or sism gently and see that the mounting surface is clean first. Align the sis or sism on the mounting spot and torque the fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Attach the sis to the center pillar and then fasten the sis mounting hardware, reconnect the sis harness connector to the sis , and fix the connector position assurance onto the harness connector . Once you have finished, install the center pillar trim, adjust the seat back to its original position, and turn on the sir system.
