2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the A/C Switch Control Assembly (CJ3) on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: The replacement of control assembly (CJ3) requires the removal of both i/p trim plate and front floor console when equipped. Start by removing all retaining bolts from the hvac control assembly before pulling it out from the instrument panel. The hvac control assembly requires disconnection of both electrical wires and vacuum hoses before extraction. Start by mounting the hvac control assembly into the instrument panel after you connect both electrical connectors and vacuum harness to it. Obtain retaining bolts to mount the hvac control assembly and torque them at 1.8 n.m (16 lb in). To complete the installation reinstall both the i/p trim plate and the front floor console if the system includes these components.
