2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the blower motor resistor on 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: Begin the Blower Motor Resistor replacement by disconnecting both the battery and removing the right side instrument panel insulation. Unplug both wires that link to the Blower Motor Resistor and the Blower Motor. Secure both forward screws lightly due to space restrictions and take out the rearward screw afterward to remove the Blower Motor Resistor. Install the new Blower Motor Resistor by positioning it first and attaching its single bolt to the rearward side before tightening it to 1.5 newton meters. After placing the new Blower Motor Resistor, add both forward bolts and secure them using the recommended torque setting. Plug the electrical connector to the Blower Motor and then to the new resistor unit. After fitting the right side instrument panel insulator replace the battery negative cable.
