What steps should be taken before servicing the parking brake cable on 2000 Chevrolet Venture?

A Park Brake System Check should always be the first procedure for performing service on parking brake cables. The parking brake should only advance to three clicks before raising and supporting the vehicle. Both rear wheels should receive manual rotation after which proper adjustment of the park brake cable becomes evident when you can proceed to the following step.
