How to replace the rear side door hinge on 2001 Buick Century?

The process for replacing the rear side door hinge begins by supporting the door while keeping it open and then removing the intermediate door hinge bolts and the hinge spring. Wipe both hinge mount points on the door with a rag before using a grease pencil to mark the hinge positions. After cleaning the body pillar hinge mounting surface you must mark its position. Keep the cone adjuster bolt tight to prevent its loss inside the pillar which might produce audible rattling. Tear off two 13 mm body side hinge bolts along with the body side hinge itself. The new hinge installation should begin with bolt alignment using the old marks followed by Locktite(R) Blue application GM P/N 12345382 or Canadian P/N 10953489 before installing the door side bolts which need to be lightly tightened. Before installing the 13 mm body side hinge bolts apply Locktite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382 or Canadian P/N 10953489 to the new hinge then lightly tighten it. Install the door in its position to position the intermediate bolts before installing the hinge spring and the intermediate door hinge bolts with a torque of 33 N.m (24 lb ft) and body side and door side hinge bolts to a similar value. Complete the task by removing the door prop then adjust and shut the door.
