How to replace the rear door hinge on 2002 Buick Century?

The replacement of the rear door hinge begins with door support and continued hinge bolt removal of the intermediate hinges and hinge spring. Apply grease pencil marks to the door hinge surface before cleaning both mounting points. Start by cleaning the body pillar surface for the hinge mount before marking its position. Then take out the door side hinge bolts and the hinge and finish by cleaning the body pillar area. It is crucial to avoid wrenching the cone adjuster bolt since the pieces might enter the pillar. Uninstall the 13 mm body side hinge bolts and take out the body side hinge. Installation of new hinges starts with aligning the components according to the previous alignment marks while applying Locktite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382 or Canadian P/N 10953489 or equivalent to the door side hinge bolts. Tighten the bolts lightly. Install the 13 mm body side hinge bolts once secured with lightweight torque while applying Locktite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382 or Canadian P/N 10953489 or equivalent to both body side hinge bolts. Install and position the door to add all intermediate bolts before installing the hinge spring. The intermediate door hinge bolts need installation at 33 N.m (24 lb ft) alongside the body side and door side hinge bolts that need the same torque value. Terminating the use of the door support system allow you to adjust the door before locking it.
