How to replace the rear door hinge on 2003 Buick Century?

The process to replace rear door hinges begins with supporting the door as you open it and continue by removing both intermediate hinge bolts and the hinge spring. Apply a rag to clean both surfaces where the hinge attaches to the door before drawing the hinge position with a grease marker. Begin by removing both door side hinge bolts and the entire hinge structure after which you should prepare the body pillar mounting surface while marking all locations. Pay attention to not fully loosen the cone adjuster bolt to prevent the bolt from entering the pillar area and creating a rattling noise. To remove the door you need first to take out both body side hinge bolts and the hinge itself. The door side hinge bolts need to be lightly tightened after applying Locktite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382, or Canadian P/N 10953489, or equivalent to the new hinge alignment marks. After aligning the new body side hinge to original marks users should use Locktite(R) Blue then install the 13 mm body side hinge bolts which should be lightly tightened. After positioning the door for intermediate bolts you should install both the hinge spring and the intermediate door hinge bolts and body side and door side hinge bolts. Tighten all these bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft). End the process by eliminating the door support before you adjust and close the door.
