First, turn off the ignition and lift the vehicle and then unlatch the left front wheel, left front fascia extension, and front air deflector. Sweep away the surrounding area of the electronic brake control module (EBCM)/bpmv to prevent contamination and wash off contaminants. Rotate the ebcm connector tab out of locked and detach the ebcm connector position assurance from the ebcm electrical connector. Turn off and disconnect the ebcm electrical connection from ebcm while ensuring that its contact with brake fluid does not irritate skin and eyes. Prevent the suffering of the vehicle's external surfaces due to brake fluid spilling and don't twist brake pipes overly. Mark every brake pipe position for reinstalling it. Itsuction out the 2 master cylinder brake pipes and 4 wheel brake pipes off the bpmv, clean all splashed over and take the 2 bpmv bracket nuts off to extract the ebcm/bpmv assembly from bpmv bracket . Remove the 6 ebcm to bpmv screws and take off the bpmv electrical connector from the ebcm good to take the ebcm off from bpmv by cleaning the surface of the ebcm/bpmv assembly. For installation, clean the seal surface of bpmv, mount the ebcm to the bpmv then apply the tightness of the 6 ebcm to bpmv by using the screws to 3.2 nm (28 in. Lbs.). Mount the bpmv electrical connector to the ebcm and see to it that all 3 rubber isolators are applied to bpmv. Mount the ebcm/bpmv assembly to bpmv bracket and tighten 2 bpmv bracket nuts to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Ensure brake pipes properly attach to bpmv so that there are no wheel locks. When installing a new bpmv, pull the shipping plugs from the valve outlet. Mount the 4 wheel brake pipes and 2 master cylinder brake pipes to the bpmv, tightening them to 15 nm ( 11 ft. Lbs.) ). The seal surface of the ebcm/bpmv assembly should be cleared, ebcm electrical connector should be connected to the ebcm and ebcm connector position assurance can be installed. Lock the ebcm connector tab down, replace the left front fascia extension and left front wheel. Lower the vehicle, fill and bleed the hydraulic brake system, do auto bleed procedure and the abs diagnostic system check.
