How to Service and Repair the Rear Sway Bar Bushing on 2001 Cadillac Seville?

The first step to repair the rear sway bar bushing requires lifting and supporting the vehicle at height. Untighten the sway bar shaft bracket bolt until the end of the bracket can be bent upward. A pry bar helps to lift the sway bar shaft before removing the sway bar shaft insulator. Attach the sway bar shaft insulator through the slit in the forward direction after elevating it using a pry bar. To secure the insulator properly fit it into the clamps while bending the sway bar shaft bracket downward. Replacement of the clamps may be necessary if proper nesting doesn't occur. Fasten the sway bar shaft insulator bracket retainer bolt while tightening it to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
